Today, the jury in Sean "Diddy" Combs' federal criminal trial began deliberations after nearly two months of intense proceedings in Manhattan. Combs faces five serious charges, including **racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking by force, and transportation to engage in prostitution**.

The prosecution painted Combs as the ringleader of a criminal enterprise that allegedly coerced women into drug-fueled sexual encounters—referred to as “freak-offs”—and used violence and intimidation to silence them. Assistant U.S. Attorney Maurene Comey urged jurors to hold him accountable, stating, “For 20 years, the defendant got away with his crimes. That ends in this courtroom”.

The defense, led by Marc Agnifilo, countered that Combs’ lifestyle was consensual and part of a swinger culture, arguing that the government exaggerated personal behavior into criminal conduct. He described the case as “one of the great modern love stories” and urged jurors to “summon the courage” to acquit.

The jury—composed of eight men and four women, all with college or advanced degrees—heard from 34 witnesses and endured graphic testimony involving physical abuse, psychological trauma, and degrading sexual acts. If convicted, Combs could face life in prison.
