*As we reported earlier, Nicki Minaj broke the internet — not with a verse, but with a conservative conference cameo. On December 21, the 43-year-old rapper shocked fans by appearing at Turning Point USA’sAmericaFest in Phoenix, Arizona, alongside Erika Kirk, widow of TPUSA founder Charlie Kirk and the group’s new CEO.

Minaj entered to “Super Bass,” held Erika’s hand, and praised Donald Trump and JD Vance for giving people “hope.” It was patriotic, polarizing, and predictably viral. What wasn’t expected? The next-level drama that followed—complete with a deleted Instagram and a blunt message from Dr. Umar Johnson.

During aninterview on the platform, dressed in a yellow-and-black hoodie, Johnson acknowledged Nicki’s immense talent and intelligence, saying, “Very talented sister, very articulate sister, very intelligent sister, tremendous lyricist. Few sisters I could put in front of her in terms of lyrical talent.” But he didn’thold back his disappointment, questioning her decision to use her platform and success to support political figures. “How dare you build a comfortable life for you and your beautiful familyand use that success to help Donald Trump leverage his military agenda? Our sister Nicki…you are being used,” he said, delivering a blunt warning to the hip-hop star.
