I am your host Danye, and today we are diving deep into this Lindsay Clancy mistrial that has left me frustrated, angry, and convinced that justice has been delayed but cannot be denied. You already know I do not pull punches and I definitely do not follow the script. If you are looking for someone to tell you this outcome was acceptable, you are in the wrong place.</div><br/><div><br/></div><div>Let me be clear about where I stand. I believe Lindsay Clancy had mental health issues. Her diagnosis of Bipolar 2 is real. She was dealing with postpartum mood changes after having her children. Those are facts, not opinions. But here is where I separate from the defense narrative that seems to have captured too many hearts. I do not believe she had postpartum psychosis. And I absolutely believe she planned these murders.</div><br/><div><br/></div><div>The defense wants you to believe this was a psychiatric emergency that came out of nowhere. That she was hearing command hallucinations and lost touch with reality completely. But that is not what postpartum psychosis actually looks like according to the medical literature. Let me break this down for you because understanding the distinction matters not just for this case, but for what comes next.</div><br/><div><br/></div><div>According to the National Institutes of Health and published research in Biological Psychiatry, postpartum psychosis is defined as a single or recurrent episode of mood and psychotic symptoms that is limited to the postpartum period, typically within the first four weeks after delivery. The clinical presentation includes rapidly changing symptoms that can wax and wane over hours, severe mood symptoms including mania or mixed episodes, and delirium-like disorganized behavior. It is considered a psychiatric emergency with high risk of suicide and infanticide.</div><div><br/></div><br/><div>Research published in the American Journal of Psychiatry shows that women with a history of postpartum psychosis have a 29% risk of severe episodes postpartum, significantly higher than women with bipolar disorder alone. The phenomenology includes fluctuating affect, confusion, and a clinical picture that resembles delirium more than calculated planning.</div><div><br/></div><br/><div>Here is what the defense does not want you to focus on. Lindsay Clancy's actions do not match the clinical profile of postpartum psychosis. According to medical literature, postpartum psychosis presents with rapid onset, severe confusion, and disorganized behavior. It does not present as weeks of careful planning, researching methods online, and creating elaborate alibis.</div><div><br/></div><br/><div>I am not pretending to know exactly what was going through Lindsay's mind. I cannot know her private thoughts. But I can look at the evidence and draw reasonable conclusions. The prosecution showed that she had been researching methods of strangulation. She had been planning this. That is not psychosis. That is premeditation.</div><div><br/></div><br/><div>Here is my theory, and I want to be clear this is speculation based on the evidence. I believe Lindsay may have been planning to take her own life. She was overwhelmed, dealing with Bipolar 2, struggling with the reality of three young children, and possibly seeing suicide as her only way out. But here is the part that moves this from tragedy to something more calculated. I believe she did not want anyone else to raise her children. I believe she could not stand the thought of her kids growing up with the stigma of having a mother who committed suicide. So she made a decision to take them with her.</div><div><br/></div><br/><div>That is not psychosis. That is a distorted but rational thought process. It is horrifying, it is tragic, but it is not the same as losing touch with reality completely. The research in Archives of Women's Mental Health shows that mothers who commit filicide often have severe depression with suicidal ideation, not necessarily psychotic breaks. A study published in Progress in Neurology and Psychiatry documented cases of twin filicide where postpartum depression with suicidal ideation was the driving factor, not command hallucinations or delusions.</div><br/><div><br/></div><div>But here is what has me fired up today. This case ended in a mistrial because of a jury deadlock. And according to verified reports from CNN, NBC News, and The New York Times, the jury was split 11 to 1. Eleven jurors wanted to convict. One holdout juror refused to apply the law as instructed. According to court documents and defense attorney Kevin Reddington's own statements, this juror had acknowledged doubt but refused to apply it to the verdict as the law requires.</div><br/><div><br/></div><div>The defense tried to get that juror removed. They argued this person was taking a position that was intractable regardless of proof beyond a reasonable doubt. But Judge Sullivan declined to remove the juror, stating he did not feel it was appropriate to side with one juror or eleven. After 36 hours of deliberations over seven days, the judge declared a mistrial.</div><br/><div><br/></div><div>Here is where I am going to speak some truth that needs to be heard. The prosecution underestimated the public interest in this case. They needed this do-over. When you have eleven jurors agreeing on guilt and one person holding out despite acknowledging reasonable doubt, that is not justice. That is a technicality. And technicalities do not bring justice for Cora, Dawson, and Callan.</div><br/><div><br/></div><div>Let me say their names because they have been lost in all of this. Cora Marie Clancy. Dawson William Clancy. Callan Patrick Clancy. These were the real victims. Cora was five years old, described as a girly girl who loved big bows in her hair. Dawson was three, a Paw Patrol fan with a bright smile. Callan was just eight months old, a happy baby with chubby cheeks who was often photographed sandwiched between his older siblings. They deserved to grow up. They deserved to have their lives remembered as more than the worst thing done to them.</div><br/><div><br/></div><div>According to verified reports from USA Today and The New York Times, these children were found in the basement of their family home. Cora and Callan in the main living area. Dawson in his father's office. They were strangled with exercise bands. This was not a quick loss of control. This was methodical. This was planned. And the jury knew it. Eleven of them knew it.</div><br/><div><br/></div><div>The Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy Cruz has not yet decided whether to retry this case. According to Fox News and NPR reports, he stated there will be no decisions made today regarding retrials and that he plans to meet with his team to address the future of the case at the appropriate time.</div><div><br/></div><br/><div>Here is what I believe needs to happen. This case must be retried. The Supreme Court has consistently held that a hung jury does not bar retrial under the Double Jeopardy Clause of the Fifth Amendment. According to the Legal Information Institute at Cornell Law School and established Supreme Court precedent, failure of the jury to agree does not terminate original jeopardy. The prosecution has the right and the obligation to retry this case.</div><br/><div><br/></div><div>The law is clear on this. As documented by US Law Explained and the Fully Informed Jury Association, when a mistrial occurs due to a hung jury, the prosecutor may decide to retry the case. Double jeopardy does not apply because the original proceeding did not reach a verdict. There was no acquittal. There was only deadlock caused by one person who could not or would not follow the law.</div><br/><div><br/></div><div>The prosecution needs to look at what happened here and understand that they underestimated how much the public cares about these three children. They underestimated how much people want to see justice done not just for the headlines, but for Cora, Dawson, and Callan. These children's spirits need to rest in peace. They need the full attention of the justice system. They need a verdict that acknowledges what was done to them.</div><br/><div><br/></div><div>According to the National Crime Victim Law Institute and the Office for Victims of Crime, child victims have rights in the criminal justice process. They have the right to be remembered. They have the right to have their story told. They have the right to justice. When the focus shifts entirely to the defendant's mental health and the technicalities of jury deadlock, those rights get trampled.</div><br/><div><br/></div><div>I believe the prosecution needs to go back to the drawing board. They need to prepare for a retrial that keeps the focus where it belongs. On the evidence. On the planning. On the three innocent lives that were taken. And they need to make sure that the next jury understands what postpartum psychosis actually is according to the medical literature, so they cannot be swayed by defenses that do not fit the clinical picture.</div><br/><div><br/></div><div>According to the DSM-5, postpartum onset specifiers apply to brief psychotic disorder with symptoms including delusions, hallucinations, disorganized speech, or grossly disorganized or catatonic behavior. Planning and research do not fit that clinical picture. Lindsay's timeline and behavior do not match. The next jury needs to understand this distinction clearly.</div><br/><div><br/></div><div>I am not a doctor. I am not pretending to give medical advice. But I can read medical literature, and I can tell when someone is trying to stretch a diagnosis to fit a narrative. The defense is doing exactly that. And one juror bought it enough to create a mistrial.</div><br/><div><br/></div><div>Join our Members Only community at toohotforyoutube.com for exclusive live streams and uncensored deep dives. Do you think the holdout juror robbed these children of justice?</div><br/><div><br/></div><div>Mental health is important. But so is accountability. So is justice for Cora, Dawson, and Callan. <div style="font-weight:400;"> Hey Sustainers, it’s Danye. </div><div style="font-weight:400;"><br/></div>
<div style="font-weight:400;"> We need to talk about something heavy. I am officially stepping in to recap the Lindsay Clancy murder trial. </div>
<div style="font-weight:400;"> I know this topic is incredibly sensitive. We are talking about the tragic loss of young children, and it breaks my heart just to say it. But you know me—I don’t run from the hard conversations, especially when the mainstream media misses the bigger picture. </div>
<div style="font-weight:400;"><br/></div><div style="font-weight:400;"> This case dives deep into the realities of mental health. That is a topic I will always actively advocate for—for you, for our loved ones, and for myself. This trial is going to reveal massive <strong style="font-weight:700;">Teachable Moments</strong>. We need to analyze them so we can learn how to better support ourselves and save others before it is too late. </div>
<div style="font-weight:400;"><br/></div><div style="font-weight:400;"><div><div style="font-weight:400;"> Because this material is so intense, I am changing up the format to keep our community safe and focused: </div>

That means we will still be in the chat together, having real-time interactions, processing this weight as a family.</span></li></ul><div><div><div style="font-weight:400;"><br/></div>
<div style="font-weight:400;"> I want all of you there for these drops. You can find the exact release dates and times in two places: </div>
